Bible Study & Fellowship Opportunities

St. Peter's has always had an abundance of fellowship opportunities. Our motto should be, "where two or more are gathered, we will eat." Come and join us!

COFFEE TIME is held each Sunday morning between the early worship service and the Sunday School time in the Parish Life Center which is located at the opposite end of the building from the Sanctuary. Join us for coffee and conversation. Sometimes we have doughnuts and sometimes we have grits and breakfast casseroles. We never know. Join us and find out! Coffee Time begins at 9:30 am.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY FOR ALL AGES is held at 10:00 am each Sunday morning all over campus. Bring your Bible. Each class is studying something different. Try one class. Try them all. Find what fits you best. We are currently offering:

Refuge is made up of young married couples with small children. Pastor Cassie teaches this group in the Gathering Room (located behind the Parish Life Center).

Busters class members are typically (but not always) married and have kids ranging from upper elementary to college age. Pastor Judson leads this group. They meet in room 210.

Joyful Believers are typically couples with grown children and are entering the “check out this picture of my grandchild” phase of life. Spouse doesn’t come to church or is otherwise detained during the SS hour? Not a problem. Several of their folks come alone. They are ready to start a new study called “The Bible Recap.” Joyful Believers meet in room 209.

The Seekers group covers all adult ages and study topics. They are taught by Larry James and they meet in the Fellowship Hall.

Adult One Sunday School class is led by Bible expert Nancy Wylie and is open to all ages. They meet in room 202.

Hallmarks of Lutheran Identity class is designed to assist in understanding the Lutheran Church’s teachings in a nontechnical way. The class is discussion based and will guide us to learn the Christian tenets held by the Lutheran church based on Scripture alone. Chip Rhoads will be teaching this class. They meet in room 208.

Children & Youth Sunday School classes (birth to 12th grade) are also available. Those who teach these classes have a love for children & Youth and want to help them build a strong foundation for their relationship with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY meets, as the name implies, on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Led by our Pastors, this group takes an
in-depth look at different books of the Bible. There is a lot of discussion and good fellowship in the group. Free coffee!

MUSTARD SEEDS gather for a light dinner and Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. They are currently viewing Season 4 of The Chosen. Call Brenda Hedgecock if you have questions.

LOVING GROUP is a fun group that meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. They begin the morning with coffee and putting together our monthly newsletter, The Proclaimer. Around 11:00 am they have a short program and then at noon they eat. Lunch is provided. Bobbi Buff is the contact folks for this group.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES are held in short sessions year-round. There are two different sessions to help meet your scheduling needs. The Monday morning session begins at 9:30 am and the Monday evening session begins at 6:30 pm. Both sessions are currently meeting in the Fellowship Hall. Contact the church office to find out about the current study.

BOOK CLUB meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Gathering Room (in the back of the Parish Life Center). They read a different book each month and meet for discussion. Brenda Hedgecock leads this group.
